Νέο single από Lost Frequencies – Ακούστε την συνεργασία με τον James Blunt

Μετά την συνεργασία του με τον Γερμανό DJ και παραγωγό Robin Schulz στο “Okay[1]“, ο James Blunt συνεργάζεται με κάποιον άλλον DJ, και παύει για λίγο να είναι υπερβολικά γλυκανάλατος. Αυτή την φορά συμμετέχει στα φωνητικά του νέου single του Lost Frequencies. Το “Melody” προήλθε από τον ίδιο τον Blunt και τους Steve Mac και Ammar Malik – βλέπε “Shape Of You” και “Moves Like Jagger” αντίστοιχα- όταν ηχογραφούσαν στο studio ένα τραγούδι με τον τίτλο “Hey, Melody.” Ο James Blunt μίλησε για το πώς προέκυψε το νέο single:

It didn’t quite fit my album but I loved it, so when Lost Frequencies approached asking to work together I was thrilled. I was already a fan of his and really wanted the song to be heard. He plucked the chorus, worked his magic, and made a great summer track out of it.

O εκ Βελγίου DJ και παραγωγός Felix De Laet ή κατά κόσμον Lost Frequencies, έγινε γνωστός το 2014 για το remix του στο “Are You with Me”[3] του country καλλιτέχνη Easton Corbin. Το single κατάφερε να γίνει top 10 στην Ευρώπη και την Αυστραλία, δίνοντας την ευκαιρία στον Felix να κάνει και άλλα remixes για πολλούς γνωστούς pop καλλιτέχνες και το 2016 να κυκλοφορήσει το ντεμπούτο album Less Is More, το οποίο κυκλοφόρησε φέτος σε ειδική deluxe έκδοση. O Lost Frequencies δήλωσε για τη νέα του συνεργασία:

I’ve always been a James Blunt fan and when I got asked to do a remix for one of his tracks, we started talking and I proposed instead of doing a remix, it would be cool to make an original track together! That’s when James sent me the demo he had of “Melody,” where I started working on immediately. I did bunch of different versions of the track, always checking with the whole team what they thought of it, until the final version was made and everybody loved it! It was a fairly quick process, considering we both were gone a lot on tour and doing a lot of other projects, I’m super happy we found a version of the track where both our worlds are perfectly balanced.
